Factory farming is a common farming method of confining animals such as chickens and pigs in tiny cramped places for mass food production, to get the best profit out of their product. Environmentalist and Animal Rights Activists strongly disagree with this way of food production as it causes stress and harm to the animals. Animals have the right to freedom and a happy, healthy life. But on the other side of the argument farmers and food companies say that without factory farming they wouldn’t be able to produce the same amount of food at the same price and in the same time. And then they’d have to put up meat prices in order to accommodate the new system. So by putting her and her piglets into a smaller area, there is no way she could potential harm her babies because she literally cannot move. The farrow crates also make spotting sick and injured animal easier and they can quickly remove them withou t having to chase them round or worry about the mother trying to protect her young. DeLaine goes in great detail of the explanation of the visual and architectural aspects of the building. Her writings were mostly guided towards the explanation of how the building achieved its vast size and why the creators did so. DeLaine is guiding her writing towards a group trying to better their understanding of the Colosseum, such as Architecture Students. It is written in a way that suggests that she is sitting in the middle of the Colosseum while looking at a plan view of the building, trying to what she saw.The information being used is very up to date, even though it is almost a history lesson. She uses examples that are seen today, and renovations that have occurred recently in order for the preservation of the building, revealing that this is a valid source with legitimate and accurate information. The information given in Rome, V,6: Colosseum is very accurate an would more than likely be most helpful in the process of writing paper on the history of the building. The next source that was collected was from the infamous Wikipedia. The exert from the encyclopedia was entitled The Colosseum where the writer was not specified. This database showed an enormous amount of information regarding the Colosseum ranging from the history of the building to the appearance in the media today. Similar to the article taken from the Grove Dictionary of Art, this article has a vast historical basis, ranging from the original construction to the multiple reconstructions throughout the years.Unlike Grove, Wikipedia goes farther into the building than just its appearance and construction, but its use and image. Wikipedia explains areas in which focus on the community involvement surrounding the Colosseum. Whether it be for entertainment, to explaining the churches involvement later in the buildings life. Different Types of popular music. Essay We all grew up listening to some type of music. No one can really determine when music began or which cultures had music first. There are stories of its origins that go back to ancient times. Popular music is music produced for and sold to a broad audience. (l) The types of popular music we are going to look at are Jazz, country-and-western music, rhythm-and-blues music (RB), rock music, and rap, also know as hip-hop. (l) First, we will look at Jazz. Jazz is a type of music that was first developed by African Americans around the first decade of the 20th century. ) It is believed that Jazz originated in New Orleans. The first ever recording of Jazz was in the sasss. (3) Jazz developed into different styles. Some of these styles are, Boogie Woozier, which was named this because Clearance Pine Top Smith released an album with that style called Pimentos Boogie Woozier. Next is improvisational Jazz, which is the most popular type of Jazz. Improve means made up on the spot, which is actua lly, what this type of Jazz is. Improvisational Jazz can be played with any instrument. Another is ragtime. It was called this because its rhythm and timing sounded raggedy. Like improvisational Jazz, this was one of the first types of Jazz. It was played in cakewalks and was usually played with a piano. Although originally known by the derisive label hillbillys music, country has since moved into the popular music mainstream and gained wide international acceptance. They include things such as love, reeking up with someone, maybe even the artist themselves telling a story in there music of their younger days growing up.
